5 Shorts, 5 reflections on grief and mourning. The anthology is a continuation of ongoing conversations and previous curations that the collective, Tierra Narrative, has done in the past. In 2018, we curated an event Cine Centroamericano: Narrativas de Migración y Desplazamiento at the Hemispheric Institute that brought together five filmmakers from Costa Rica and Guatemala into a dialogue. Once completed, we plan to screen the short anthology and continue a dialogue about the emerging diasporic cinema that’s been created here in the U.S by immigrants and first generation diaspora.
